Individuality is Very Important

This seems counter-intuitive to many on a spiritual path. We hear about the oneness and how important being in touch with oneness is. That we need to seek out the feeling of being in the oneness and that when we experience the oneness we have truly arrived. Having experienced the oneness and living consciously as part of it, I can tell you that these assumptions are erroneous. Why? because consciously seeking the oneness will keep one from it. One must be one with the self in order to be one with all. So, to experience this we must concentrate on ourselves as individuals. This is counter intuitive because we are also taught that we must be selfless, we must give of ourselves to others, we must be humble.

Being taught is exactly the problem here. We come into this world with a plethora of tools to help us to survive but they are slowly but surely stripped away from us. We are taught to go with the flow of whatever the societal values are of the society we are raised in. How to act so that we can get along but what is created in us is herd mentality. We are taught that we must do things that do not feel good in order to fit in. That even though something feels wonderful to us, it is not the proper way to be. We are taught that being unhappy is simply a reality of life or that if what makes others happy does not make us happy, we are wrong or worse, we are mentally ill. Think about how ludicrous this sounds. Wanting to do what makes us happy is being mentally ill? Being happy is wrong? But wait, we are told that if we do what others want and what makes others happy we will be happy. Then why is it that most of us that are doing this are not actually happy or only experience small tastes of happiness? It is because we are ignoring our individual wants. We are ignoring our feelings in favor of falsely programmed subconscious thoughts that were placed there by society. We are allowing our emotions (subconscious beliefs) to remain in charge instead of our feelings (our true nature which is in the causal body).

In order to become happy and remain happy we must concentrate on ourselves as individuals and always put our happiness above all else. When we do this, we come to fall madly in love with ourselves. We become self empowered. We have no problems taking complete responsibility for all of our actions because we know that whatever we do is done out of a space of love. We fear falling in love with the self because we are taught that to do so is vain, selfish and egotistical. I will tell you that this is completely untrue. Vanity and being egotistical are born out of a sense of comparing ourselves to others however; when a person truly concentrates on self love, there is no longer a need to compare oneself to another because the individual feels no need for this. There is no need because no matter what one looks like, they feel healthy, whole and loved. They will attract others that love them for who they are because we are drawn to those like us. We are drawn to those that love us no matter what our outside expression is. The constant feeling of a need for approval from others is gone and there is no need for comparison so no egotism or vanity. To be selfish is to be selfless. Why? because we cannot give someone else anything that we do not have. As an example; if we want to give someone money to help them buy food and we have no money to give them, we have nothing to give. It’s the same with love. If we do not love the individual self, we have nothing to give. Conversely; if we are filled with self love, we have more than enough to give to all of those around us. As a matter of fact, we ooze it and without effort we give it. Once we begin to ooze the love, we are automatically giving to others and they will respond. Boy do they respond. When they respond to us in ways that fill our hearts with joy, we begin to understand the nature of the oneness. We do not fear others. We are able to fully allow them into our energy fields. We become closer with everyone and everything. That is the nature of the oneness. The oneness can never be reached without a sense of individuality. A sense of who we are as a part of the collective whole. Individuality is one of the most important aspects of healing, empowering and self love. It is the most important aspect to making the world a loving place.

How Do I Get In Touch With My Spirit Guides?

People are often asking me to help them to listen to and/or speak with their guides. What they don’t know is that they are already doing it. That they have been doing it all their lives. Just not consciously. Given this, the more appropriate question to ask is, how do I build a better relationship with my guides? The short answer is that if we build a better relationship with ourselves, we will have a better relationship with our spirit guides.

To understand what a good working relationship with our guides looks like, we must first understand what they are and are not. Our guides are those that we have aligned with and pulled into our reality in one way or another. There could have been an agreement before we came here. We could have aligned with certain energies while we were here that pulled them in to help us. There is no set limit on the number of spirit guides someone can or cannot have or the type. There are too many types to list in this article but some of the more popular are those that we have known in this life and past lives and are now in a different space of existence. Those that represent an energy of a deity. Those that are what some see as angels and/or light beings. They normally present themselves as someone or something that we can understand and relate to. Spirit guides often come and go. They are not there at all times. Though they can and do interact with us in this dimension, they exist in another dimensional reality at this time and have things to take care of for themselves. They can be present for us for a period of time and then leave. Why? because we are no longer in need of their assistance. We have learned or received what it is that they can give us.

Just like all other beings that interact with this universe, they follow the law of attraction and the law of free will. They are not in charge, you are. It’s akin to you being someone that has hired a team of people to guide you on a trip. You know what you want to accomplish on your trip and where you want to go but you do not know the way to get there, that is why you hired others to help you. Ultimately though, it is your trip, your experience and your goal so, you must be the one to be very clear as to what your goals are and instruct the team you hired as to what you want to happen. The team then sets out to make it happen but if you do not listen to their areas of expertise with this, you will end up lost. The team will become frustrated if you do not give good instructions because they will try to give you what they think you want and be frustrated by you because you are not being clear enough for them to understand how to fulfill your needs.

Set your intention to speak to them. Every time you start to think of something you want in your life, make the intention to be very clear. You can do this with your voice or with your thoughts and be sure to put as much feeling behind it as you can. Your feelings are your main power of manifestation. Your guides and source energy hear your feelings more clearly than anything else. Giving voice to the feelings, seals the deal. I recommend you start out with simple things. An example could be that you do not like the fact that you cannot afford the food you would prefer to eat. So what you do is see yourself eating the foods that you would prefer. Then you tell them in as much detail as possible, the foods you want to have as part of your reality and on a regular basis. Know that this does not necessarily mean that they will bring you more money, in fact, I did this once and my guides showed me a better store to shop at where better foods were less expensive than the poorer quality foods I was purchasing elsewhere. They also had some neighbors start bringing me foods that I enjoy. We need to be open to the way. Never set a limit on how things need to come about. The only exception to this is if there is some job or some way that is definitely pleasurable to you. Remember though that the law of attraction only hears I do want. It never hears, “I don’t”. So, if you don’t want something, find a way to replace it with a statement of what you do want. An example of this is that it come into your reality in a way that is quite pleasurable for you. See how this leaves things open and yet sets a definite intention? Remember though that depending on your energy alignments, there may be things that you want but you have not learned one thing or another to bring it into your reality and so, the guides will help to guide you to learn what you need to learn in order that you can align your energy with your intentions. So sometimes you will be guided towards something less pleasurable. Just accept this as a lesson  and something you needed to move forward. if you accept it, it will be a lot less challenging.

So how do we communicate with our guides? Remember that I said that you already are? What I mean by that is that every time you express that you want something, they hear you. They hear your thoughts and they do their best to “guide” you to what it is that you want. That is their job in your reality. They act as the go between when it comes to you and source energy. They cannot do anything for you, you still must make it happen by simply opening up the energy and acting in the ways that you are guided to act. They can speak to you in a plethora of ways. They can give you signs if you are looking. I even once had an experience where I was sitting in a public bathroom and someone had written something on a wall that spoke to me about how to find a way to deal with my boss. They can whisper to you. They can put things in your path so that you take notice. They can come into your dreams.  Whenever you feel that feeling in your gut (solar plexus) or in your heart, that is your spirit guides speaking to you. The more you pay attention to that and the more you pay attention to the world around you, the more effective their guidance will be. The more you practice this, the more honed your abilities become in communicated with them and you will find that you will soon be able to communicate directly.

Why use guides instead of direct manifestation? Because it makes life a lot easier to have helpers. You can certainly manifest directly and there are times when that is necessary but it’s much easier to delegate and have others doing a big portion of the work for you. You get more done and with a lot less effort. Why not use everything at your disposal? When life is easier to manage, it makes one’s life a happier place.

Free Will

I hope everyone is having a wonderful time during the holidays. I have been busy consulting and helping many as well as enjoying some of the festivities. So many speak of God, the universe, the light, Christ consciousness, etc, during this time of the year. However; what I have been running into during this time is the lack of understanding of free will. Many express that they feel that free will is a truth or a law but in the next breath they tell me they are handing over their will to some unseen force that they call by many names. This flies in the face of the law of free will. I can understand why so much confusion happens when considering free will. After all, the way this works can be somewhat paradoxical. Please allow me to explain the essence of how it works.

We must first understand that everything in our lives is a choice. Whether it is conscious or not, we choose everything that happens in our realities. If nobody was choosing to align with a particular energy then it could not exist. So, the reason that things like war, poverty, hunger and the like exist, is because there are those that are in alignment with them. Conversely; love and abundance exist because there are those that choose to align with these things. So why would someone choose to align with things that are painful? Because they are seeking to learn from them. There are as many ways to learn something as there are people but it’s all a choice. It’s how we choose to learn from what exists. We came here to learn and in choosing this planet at this time, we choose to align with the energies that exist here: to use them for growth. For our own growth as well as the collective growth of source energy (what some call God or universal energy). We make decisions every second of our day. Each decision has an effect on our realities as well as those that are somehow aligned with our energies. Everyone is making these decisions at all times and nobody or nothing has any power over us that we don’t choose to give it. By saying we are giving something to God or the universe we are saying that we are giving away our personal power to everyone and everything else. This is very dis-empowering and flies in the face of self-love.

This does not mean we cannot learn from others or ask source energy for guidance. This is extremely useful. Seeking knowledge and asking for help is crucial. How else can we learn? However; when we do this,  we must do it from a place of self-empowerment. With a knowing that it is our right as divine beings to find our truth. To learn, grow and find our authentic selves. “Ask and ye shall receive” does not simply apply to materialistic things. It is much more than that. The part that gets left out of this is that we must actually ask. We must ask with the confidence to know that we will receive the answer. The answer that is appropriate for us at a given time to move us forward into self-love. Source does always have the answer. Not because it is superior to us but because it is us. It is a collective and the collective is learning and growing. So source is learning along with us. Someone somewhere has the answer or the answer is being created. There is no one that can know the exact future because the future is not yet written. Source does not know what it is but options do exist based on the energies that already exist. So, someone can know of the options and be able to determine the most likely outcome based on the energies that are present by being able to tap into the collective consciousness. However; that can always be changed. It can be changed by the individual and the collective because of the nature of free will. Because of the nature of free will, nothing is impossible!!  All things are plausible. We must seek the answers as to how to achieve what it is that we want. We must listen intently to the self. All things being the self; the answers that come are always from the self. That is the nature of oneness.

I write this because I see far too many giving away their divinity through giving away the most precious gift of all. The gift of free will. Giving this gift up is causing so many to give away their personal power and with it, the ability to change themselves and therefore this planet. As we awaken to this we awaken to our own divinity and self-love. As we take our place in this world and own our birth rights, we change the world, one individual at a time. The more of us that become self-empowered; the more others have access to this knowledge and energy and it becomes a huge domino effect. Ripples of empowerment and self love are sent out into the universe to be received.  Remember to love yourself enough to never give the beautiful gift of free will away.
